When I was an undergrad, I grew tired of therapy only being explained to me in the educational institutions in the US through an "insurance based cognitive psychology perspective". Having experienced Pacifica Graduate Institute for a graduate program and talking with individuals that have attended other non-mainstream educational trainings...I testify that professional therapist should train in where they are called to. Here is a list of programs in the states for those that are like minded. Please feel free to send me your programs, so we can give alternatives to all those that wish to pursue counseling psychology.
